What am I doing now?
Check out my latest adventures... Our Feet May Be Tiny
After having a child, our fast-paced, money-driven life suddenly seemed overrated and unsatisfying. In a leap of faith, we moved back to my husband's hometown in West Virginia and purchased a run down 200 year old stone farmhouse and we named it Stone Springs.
We are just another peice of it's history now, but we sure did leave a big footprint (along with our names on the underside of the stairs into the basement).
Dave took off 2 extra days for the Memorial Day weekend and we have been working non-stop for the last five days on the kitchen. It is coming along great and it will be SO nice to have a modern kitchen with novelties such as cabinets, counters, and a built-in dishwasher. Here are some shots from our Memorial Day work-a-thon:

Sorry for the month long gap in posts! In March, we emptied the attic in the "new" (circa 1860s vs. 1820s) attic and began the process of making it a livable space. Significant progress has been made since then so I thought I'd share some pictures... here it was in March:

This is some serious business... planting trees with grandaddy! I must confess that I didn't even know yesterday was Earth Day, but we did happen to plant about 10 trees, so I figured I would sieze the opportunity and make my title seem grand. :)
